As we begin another year and put 2020 behind us, I’m excited by the prospects of what the second half of 2021 will be. This letter to the membership is in lieu of an annual business meeting. I can’t remember a year in my lifetime that we have not gathered for Mother’s Day Breakfast or the Annual Christmas Dinner. It was with a heavy heart that the Trustee’s had to cancel all events for 2020 due to COVID. As we look at our events for 2021, Annual Business Meeting- February 14th-CANCELED, Oyster Feed-March 6th-CANCELED, Mother’s Day Breakfast-May 9th-CANCELED is a reflection of the club’s inability to social distance with these popular events. As things get better with COVID we will be evaluating if the PolishFest-September 25th will be able to take place. Please rest assure that the Polish Club is still functioning and the dedication of the Trustee’s is a blessing. The Polish Club tenants are still with us but struggling financially. The dining hall has been used only for rummage sales. Membership dues for 2021 will not be collected but if you would like to make a donation to the Polish Club please mail to 823 W 1st St, Aberdeen, WA 98520. Even though there is limited activity at the club we still have to keep heat and lights on. Should you have any question, concerns, ideas please feel free to reach out to me at 360-581-5806. Again a huge “Thank You” to our Trustee’s, Lucy, Barbara, Frank, Phil, Jim, Randy, Ed, Frank, John S., John K., and Mike for their dedication to their Polish heritage and the Aberdeen Polish Club. The Trustees and I look forward to an event when we can celebrate our heritage as a Polish Community again. Solidarity Forever! Don Norkoski, President
